TUESDAY 12/23 GAMES OFF; PARTY INFO 12-22-08
Hey all —
Wanted to let you all know that due to low numbers pretty much across the board, we have canceled the games scheduled for Tuesday, December 23. The field will be open and the lights on, so if you all want to go run around and play pickup, please feel free. I'm not sure what the weather is going to be like, but hey, that's why we're on turf fields now, right?
The End-of-the-Season Party is going to be held on Saturday night, February 28. That is of course the Tournament weekend.
The party is going to be at our old stomping grounds: Thee Parkside, right across the street from Jackson Playground. We have the whole place to ourselves! They really like us over there, and we love them back. So we're psyched to be able to go back and have the party there!
More details to follow...stay tuned!

WE'VE MOVED FIELDS! 12-02-08
Just a reminder to everyone that we've moved to Crocker Amazon fields THIS WEEK!
We hope many of you are carpooling, but if you are taking public transportation or riding your bike, here are some suggestions for you.
The Balboa BART station is not too far away — it also serves MUNI J, K and M lines. The 9AX, 9BX and 9X line runs down Geneva Avenue from there right past Crocker fields.
Coming from the FiDi, it looks like one option is to take the MUNI T line to Arleta Station or the end of the line Sunnydale Station, then catch the 9X or 9BX to the fields.
For South Bay folks on CalTrain, it looks as though the place to get off is the Bayshore Station.
Anyone driving will take the Ocean/Geneva exit off of I-280.
To see a PDF of the official MUNI map (also includes BART & CalTrain), click here.
It will be a little bit of an adjustment, but hopefully we can make it work for everyone. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding!

POST-GAME BAR 12-02-08
So many folks who play in soccer leagues out at Crocker Amazon fields have suggested the 7 Mile House, so we're gonna give it a shot!
It's a little further down the road than the Broken Record, but it has a parking lot and some serious FOOD. It's also a straight up sports bar, as you can see if you hit up their website.
A big thanks to Freddy B. for getting in touch with Vanessa, the owner of 7 Mile and doing some negotiating. Here's the lowdown:
- The kitchen closes at 9PM, but if we call ahead to order, she will take care of us. (Check out the menu.)
- $10 pitcher specials (regularly $14) on ALL draft beer (Stella, Sierra, Blue Moon, Hefeweitzen)
- No cover, plenty of parking (corner of Geneva and Bayshore)
- Thursday is Ladies night, and there's a DJ from 9PM-2AM
- Thursday is also buy 1 drink, get 1 free night (any drink)
Hopefully everyone will really come out after games, congregate and keep the community of SFUC alive! Please encourage your teams to hang out!
